A trainer's first necessity, use them to capture Pokemon.

A Poke Ball is a necessary Item that is used to catch and store Pokemon.
This item makes use of the odd power all Pokemon possess to shrink themselves down to make it easy to always carry your best buddies with you.
The strength of a Poke Ball is determined by how much it raises a wild Pokemon's catch rate, and may in fact vary depending on the conditions of the battle.
Some special Poke Balls also have a particle effect when thrown (i.e. A Premier Ball leaves a trail of red particles).

Poke Balls can also be used outside of battle by holding them in your hand and right-click your mouse.
When used out of battle, the Poke Balls will have a chance to miss and, if they land on a block, break.

Some Pokemon, like Eternatus, Bosses, Totems and Ultra Beasts are handled differently by Poke Balls, for more infos refer to their pages.
