This genetic factor is generated randomly when the Pokemon spawns and is displayed in the Pokemon's [[Summary]] menu, it cannot be modified in any way. 
For most Pokemon, with the sole exception of [[Pumpkaboo]] and [[Gourgeist]], the Growth is only an aesthetical stat that does not affect the Pokemon's behavoir or strenght in [[battle]].

Wild Pokemon spawn with a multitude of sizes, however the ''Microscopic'' and ''Ginormous'' growths are exclusive to [[Breeding]] and cannot be obtained in any other way.

==Breeding==
A Pokemon's Growth stat can be passed down through [[Breeding]].

Apart from the [[File:Alpha icon.png|24px|link=Alpha Pokemon]]'''Alpha''' size, there are no specific requirements to satisfy to pass down a specific growth, but it is possible to have a decent control over the offspring size by breeding two parents that share the same growth. 
The size of the offspring is determined by the growth between the mother's and father's growths, with some random variance. To make an example:
: If the growths of the parents are ''Giant'' and ''Runt'', the offspring will have:
::- ⅓ chance to be ''Small'';
::- ⅓ chance to be ''Ordinary'';
::- ⅓ chance to be ''Huge''.
In this example the determined growth (the one equally "distant" from ''Runt'' and ''Huge'') is ''Ordinary'', so it and the two directly adjacent sizes will have a chance to be passed to the offspring. 
The slight variance in growth occurs even if both parents have the same growth.
